How to Find the Value of Your CGC Pokemon Card (2026)
CGC has three different ”10s” — Perfect, Pristine, and Gem Mint — and they don’t trade for the same money. Pretending they’re one number is the fastest way to misprice a Pokemon card. Here’s how to read your CGC card’s real 2026 value.
CGC’s three 10s, separately priced
Eyevo tracks each tier of the CGC scale individually:
- CGC Perfect 10 — flawless under 10x magnification. Vanishingly rare, prices reflect it.
- CGC Pristine 10 — Gem Mint with all sub-grades at 10. A major step up from regular 10.
- CGC Gem Mint 10 — the standard top tier. Where most modern CGC Pokemon comps live.
- CGC 9.5 Mint+ — the half-grade most other companies don’t issue.
- CGC 9 Mint and below — the rest of the scale, each tracked from real sold listings.
Comps come from actual eBay sold listings over the last 30 days. No ask prices.
When CGC pencils out
- You think you have a Perfect or Pristine. The premium over a regular 10 is enormous. If your card is genuinely flawless, CGC is the only company that recognizes it.
- Modern foil with edge wear. CGC’s grading on modern foils is often more forgiving than PSA’s, and the comp pool is real.
- You want the half-grade option. CGC 9.5 fills a gap PSA’s whole-grade-only system doesn’t.
Don’t grade with CGC just because the fee is lower than PSA — for many cards the resale spread eats the savings. Eyevo’s matrix shows you, side by side.
