How to Find the Value of Your BGS Pokemon Card (2026)
By Eyevo Team •
Beckett Grading (BGS) doesn’t price like PSA. The 9.5 Gem Mint is the real workhorse, the Black Label 10 carries an outsized premium, and half-grades show up where they don’t elsewhere. Here’s how to read your BGS Pokemon card’s real value in 2026.
The BGS grade ladder, priced
For any card, Eyevo surfaces the live BGS spread:
- BGS 10 Black Label — all four sub-grades at 10. The ceiling. Often multiples of a regular Pristine 10.
- BGS 10 Pristine — gem mint with one sub-grade short of perfection. Still a major premium.
- BGS 9.5 Gem Mint — the most-traded BGS slab. Most modern Pokemon BGS sales sit here.
- BGS 9 Mint — close to raw NM. Often a small premium over a clean ungraded copy.
- Half-grades (8.5, 7.5, etc.) — BGS issues these where PSA and CGC don’t. Real comps tracked individually.
All comps are sourced from actual eBay sold listings over the last 30 days — not asks, not formulas.
When BGS makes sense over PSA or CGC
- You’re chasing the Black Label. BGS is the only company that grants it. If your card is borderline perfect, BGS is the ticket.
- You want sub-grade transparency. BGS prints centering, corners, edges, and surface separately on the slab. Buyers pay attention to that.
- Your card’s market is BGS-heavy. Vintage WOTC and certain modern chases trade more on BGS than PSA — Eyevo will show you which company has the deeper comp pool.
