Sync, share & export
Sync and back up your Pokémon collection
Before you move to a new phone, connect Eyevo on the device that already holds your collection. With Pro and an internet connection, Sync & Backup keeps selected collections in sync across your own iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Join that same sync on the second device, then compare a few familiar cards before you erase the old phone.
How it works
Step by step
-
On the device with your existing collection, open Eyevo’s Settings → Sync & Backup. If sync is already connected, keep using it. Otherwise, choose Set Up Sync.
-
Switch on the collections you want to keep in sync. Let the operation finish without an error. Open one of those collections and note a familiar card’s set, number, finish and quantity.
-
In Add a device, use the QR code or Share sync link to connect your other device. You can also open Sync & Backup there and choose Enter sync key. Keep the key or link somewhere private that you can access if you lose this phone.
-
On the second device, join the existing sync and review the collections offered. Do not set up a separate new sync there when your aim is to receive the first device’s collection.
-
Let sync finish, then open the chosen collection on both devices. Compare the familiar entry and a few others, including duplicate quantities and variants. Check that every collection you meant to transfer is present before resetting or deleting anything on the old device.
Choose which collections belong on both devices
You might want your main binder and trade collection on your phone and tablet, while keeping a small sorting collection on one device. The switches in Sync & Backup let you choose the collections that participate. Check the selection on each device rather than assuming every collection is included.
For example, if your binder contains two reverse holo copies of a card, compare that entry on the second device. A matching collection name or total value is not enough to tell you that the inventory arrived as intended.
Keep the pairing details before changing phones
Your personal sync key and pairing link connect your own devices. Keep them private; do not post them in a sales listing or send them to a trade partner. After a reinstall, use the details for the existing sync instead of creating a new empty one.
Restoring a Pro purchase and restoring collection data are separate actions. A Store purchase does not recreate cards that were never synced. Before giving up your old phone, finish syncing the intended collections and check them on the new one while you still have both devices.
Use a dated copy when you need an earlier inventory
Sync keeps the latest collection state. Changes, including deletions, can reach the other connected devices. It is not a history you can browse to undo an accidental deletion, and it is not a complete iCloud or Google device backup.
Before a large reorganization, keep a separate dated copy or an Eyevo export as well. Save it somewhere you can find independently of the phone. A copy stays as it was when you made it; it does not follow later changes. The export guide explains the available files and platform requirements.
If a collection does not appear
First check the internet connection, Pro access and the selected collections on both devices. Open Sync & Backup and use Sync Now, then read any error shown. If Pro has paused, new changes are not being backed up; resume access before relying on another device’s inventory.
Confirm that the second device joined the same existing sync. Keep the device with the complete collection available while you work through the problem. Reinstalling first removes a useful chance to compare the saved entries.
Common questions
What should I do before reinstalling or changing phones?
Turn on sync for the collections you want to keep and let it finish. Keep your private pairing key safe. You can also keep an export as a dated copy.
Does restoring my Pro purchase also restore my collection?
No. Store purchase restoration and collection data are separate. Restore collections through previously enabled Sync & Backup or an Eyevo export you kept.
Can I sync between an iPhone and Android?
Yes. Eyevo’s own-device sync supports iPhone, iPad and Android with Pro and an internet connection. Join the same existing sync and check the chosen collections on both devices.
Does backup let me undo deleted cards?
Sync keeps the latest synced state, including deletions. Keep a separate dated copy or export before changes you may want to reverse.
Is my sync key a link for sharing a collection with someone else?
No. Keep your personal pairing key or link private. Sharing a collection with another person uses a separate collection-sharing flow; choose the intended access there.
